Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in Magima Kids Media Arts programs or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or enroll in our programs.
2. Program Enrollment
2.1 Eligibility
Our programs are designed for children in grades 1st-6th. Students must be within this grade range at the start of the program.
Currently, our classes are only being offered to Mt. Washington Elementary students. We plan to expand to other schools as soon as possible.
2.2 Registration
Parents/guardians must complete the enrollment form, sign the liability waiver, and submit payment to secure enrollment. Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of payment.
2.3 Class Capacity
Classes have limited capacity. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to close enrollment when capacity is reached.
3. Payment Terms
- Full semester payment ($250 for 9 weeks) is due at time of enrollment
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Payment confirms your child's spot in the selected class
- Receipts are sent via email upon successful payment
- We do not accept partial payments or payment plans at this time
4. Attendance & Student Behavior
4.1 Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for student success. Please notify us in advance if your child will be absent. We are unable to offer make-up classes at this time.
4.2 Student Conduct
Students are expected to treat staff, peers, and equipment with respect. We reserve the right to remove students who exhibit unsafe or disruptive behavior. In such cases, refunds will not be provided.
5. Intellectual Property & Student Work
5.1 Student Ownership
Students retain ownership of all creative work produced during our programs (films, animations, music videos). Digital copies of completed projects are provided whenever available.
5.2 Display & Promotion
With written parental consent, we may showcase student creative work in the following ways:
- In-Person Showcases: Student work may be displayed at in-person showcase events for families and the school community.
- Online Showcases: Student work may be featured in our online gallery from the end of one semester through the end of the next semester (approximately 4-5 months). Work is automatically removed when the following semester concludes. No student-recognizable information will be shown. No identifiable student images or videos will be put online.
Parents may withdraw consent and request removal at any time.
5.3 Our Materials
All curriculum, teaching materials, and instructional content are the intellectual property of Magima Kids Media Arts and may not be reproduced without permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge and agree that:
- Magima Kids Media Arts is not liable for injuries occurring during normal program activities
- We maintain appropriate insurance coverage as required by law
- Parents are responsible for ensuring their child can safely participate
- We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings
7. Medical Information & Emergencies
Parents must provide accurate medical information (allergies, disabilities, medications) during enrollment. In case of medical emergency, we will attempt to contact parents/emergency contacts immediately and seek appropriate medical care. Parents are responsible for all medical costs.
8. Program Changes & Cancellations
8.1 Our Right to Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will provide a full refund or offer enrollment in an alternative class.
8.2 Schedule Changes
We may make minor adjustments to class schedules with advance notice. Major changes will require parent consent or offer of refund.
9. Refund & Cancellation Policy
9.1 Student Withdrawal
- 30+ days before start: Full refund
- Less than 30 days before start: Full credit toward any future class
- After semester begins: Partial credit can be offered for future classes
9.2 Behavior-Related Dismissals
Dismissals due to repeated or serious misbehavior are non-refundable.
9.3 Medical & Extenuating Circumstances
Refund requests may be considered in cases of extended medical leave (with a doctor's note) or other significant extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of program administration.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with California law.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
