magimusic ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application.

Information We Collect

magimusic is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

• Musical Compositions: Songs you create are stored locally on your device only
• App Settings: Your preferences and settings are saved locally
• Audio Recordings: Any recordings you make are stored locally on your device

Permissions We Request

Bluetooth Permission

• Why: To enable JAM mode, which allows you to collaborate with nearby musicians
• What We Access: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to discover and connect with other nearby devices running magimusic
• Data Shared: Only musical sequencer data (grid patterns, tempo, effects) is shared with devices you explicitly connect to during JAM sessions
• Your Control: You can deny Bluetooth permission and still use all other features of the app

Local Network Permission

• Why: To facilitate JAM mode connections between nearby devices
• What We Access: Local network to discover other magimusic users on the same Wi-Fi network
• Data Shared: Musical composition data is only shared during active JAM sessions with devices you connect to
• Your Control: You can deny this permission and use the app without JAM mode features

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking services
• We do NOT serve advertisements
• We do NOT share any data with third parties
• We do NOT require account creation or login
• We do NOT upload your compositions to our servers

JAM Mode Privacy

When using JAM mode:

• Your device broadcasts its presence to nearby devices using Bluetooth and/or local network
• You must explicitly approve connections with other devices
• Only musical data (sequences, tempo, effects) is transmitted
• Connections are temporary and end when you exit JAM mode
• No data is stored on connected devices after disconnection

Children's Privacy

magimusic does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is designed to be used safely by users of all ages without requiring any personal information.

Data Security

• All your data stays on your device
• Musical compositions and settings are stored using iOS secure storage mechanisms
• No data leaves your device except during voluntary JAM mode sessions
• You can delete all app data by deleting the app from your device

Changes to Audio Samples

The app includes pre-loaded audio samples (drum sounds, instruments) which are part of the application bundle and do not access your personal music library or photos.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal information, there is no personal data to:

• Access
• Correct
• Delete
• Port to another service

You have complete control over your musical creations and can delete them at any time within the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
