I'm a filmmaker and educator here in Los Angeles. I started Magima Kids to give kids a platform to grow creatively, to express themselves, and to share what they make with the people around them.

I teach media arts classes in person every week. As a teacher, I couldn't find the right tools for kids. Everything was built for adults and professionals. But kids deserve real tools too. So I created the Magima Kids app to make creative tools simple and accessible, so there's less and less friction between a kid's idea and bringing it into the world.

Started as
A classroom in Los Angeles

Holding space for kids to create. Filmmaking, animation, music production. Not forcing lessons, just guiding them into pathways of how to express their vision.

Grew into
An app on the App Store

Real creative tools made simple for kids. Pixel art, music, animation, and more. Less friction between the idea and the creation.

Today
Apps + classes. Same mission.

Each tool opens up a new space for self-expression. Like a pencil lets you write a book, our apps open up new spaces for kids to share their vision.

What we believe

Kids already have it

They don't need a curriculum to be creative. They need a safe space, the right tools, and someone who takes their ideas seriously. Kids come ready to create.

The weird stuff is the best stuff

A song that sounds like a robot hiccuping. A pixel art cat riding a motorcycle in space. When a kid follows their instinct instead of instructions, that's when the magic happens.

Creativity connects to everything

Creativity connects to how you show up in the world. A new environment, a new friendship, a conversation you didn't expect. The way you improvise in art is the way you improvise in life. Creative expression builds the whole kid, not just the artist.

"Look what I made"

When a kid creates something and shares it with their parents, their friends, their class, it builds a bridge. We don't push anything on anyone. We give kids the space to discover what they want to say.

On safety

Kids are deeply influenced by the experiences they have. That's exactly why the safe space isn't just a feature, it's the foundation everything else is built on.

In our classroom, kids learn to lift each other up, giving honest feedback with kindness and respect.

Our app has no ads, no trackers, and no third-party data collection. But more than checking boxes, we care about emotional and mental safety. A kid who feels safe is a kid who creates freely.

Self-expression is a natural part of how kids grow. The arts support that. Being able to create something and share it builds a bridge of communication between the kid and the world.
